As my job takes me thousands of miles away from my "family" of dogs and cats a few times a year, Four Seasons Pet Sitting (Cathy and expecially Virginia) has been a life-saver.

Our relatives would get busy and forget to come at the prescribed times.  It was hit or miss with all of them. We also attempted to board our pets at various places and, on one trip, we got a call from the vet asking us to come home, because our aging cat was in a state of trauma.  She would not eat or move about and there was little they could do for her.  Also, our dog whined and moaned all day long, which was very upsetting to us.

"I saw the ad in the East Greenbush paper about Four Seasons Professional Pet Sitting. I called and spoke with Cathy, and was immediately impressed with her professionalism.

She make an appointment  to meet with me and the pets before agreeing to take the job. This showed me that she wanted to be sure she could provide exceptional care and not just take the job without considering all aspects of the responsibility.

Cathy spend about an hour at my home for this initial consultation. We talked specifically about my pets, and their care and habits. She took the time to look around my home so as to fully understand where my pets sleep, eat, have their food located, and other relevant information on their care.

I was extremely impressed with Cathy's professionalism during this visit. She came prepared with paperwork and a contract. Her paperwork included detailed instructions on not only the care of the pets, but also on the maintenance of my home during my vacation. Cathy's service also included getting the mail and the paper every day, bringing in out the trash, turning lights on and off, and anything else you may worry about while away from your home for a period of time.

I knew at once upon meeting Cathy that she was outstanding!  She combines a caring and nurturing manner toward pets with an assertive and confident attitude toward her job and the responsibility of caring for your home and pets. I felt safe entrusting my pets and my home in her care.

Cathy even suggested that I call her while I was away to check on things at home. That was an amazing and comforting thought, because I left my sick dog in her care. I did call Cathy during my vacation, and spoke with her. She calmed my fears, because she is so reliable, helpful, and kind.

When I returned, everything was perfect! My pets were happy, because they had been well taken care of in THEIR home. My mail and newspapers were neatly stacked and waiting on my table and my plants were not dead, because Cathy had watered them!

After coming home, Cathy called me to make sure my pets and I were satisfied. This follow-up call once again showed me that Cathy goes beyond expectations.
