Leonard a.k.a "Bubba", "Lenny", "Bubba Linsky"![]() Leonard found me in the summer of 1997. I was looking out my bedroom window and saw a fluffy black kitten in the yard. I opened the door to get a closer look and when I did, it got his attention. He started to run towards me and then proceeded to run right by me and straight into my apartment. He immediately made himself comfortable and settled in for the night. The next morning, as I was leaving for work, I let him out and thought that maybe he would find his way back to where he came from. Well, that night at around 9 PM, I heard a cry outside my door. It was Lenny and I realized at that moment that I had a new cat. Leonard rules the roost! He is our dominant cat and MUST get his way or he disrupts the entire household. He can be the biggest brat at times. He needs to be the center of attention or he is not happy. In fact, he can be down right miserable! But, Lenny also has a very sweet, lovable side to him that evens him out. Leonard has a certain fondness for a few of our neighbors and will visit them from time to time. It's not unusual for me to get a call from one of them letting me know that Lenny is in their home visiting. He is quite the character and I love him to death! I couldn't imagine life without my Bubba! |
Benjamin a.k.a "Chubs", "Benji", "Benny", "Ooky-Nooky", "Fatty", "Chunks", "Papa-Bear"
Benjamin has been with me since September of 2000. Benji belonged to my Dad, but I adopted him when my dad passed away. He is a very passive cat. At times he reminds me of a stuffed animal that came to life. Benji likes to spend his days sleeping. He will wake up occasionally for a snack, but then he goes back to dream land. After a long day of sleeping, Benji finally decides to wake up just as the rest of the cats are settling in for the night. That is when he wants to go out. Although most of our cats are indoor and outdoor cats, I have worked very hard to get them on a daily routine of going out during the day and staying in for the night. I just can't get the fat guy to go out during the day. The funny thing about him is when he does go out, he just sits at the end of the sidewalk for a few minutes and then wants back in. He'll do this over and over until we have finally had enough of his shenanigans and then he knows not to even bother going near the door again! Then it's back to his bed... |
