Jezebel is our eldest cat and our only female. That is why she has the nickname "Girl Cat".  Jezebel has been with us since 1991. Ted & I came home after an evening out to find a tiny black kitten covered in snow. She was very friendly and desperately wanted inside. She cried and cried until we scooped her up and carried her into our apartment. We planned on keeping her for a few days, until we found her a home. Little did we know that she was home. It only took one night for her to melt out hearts. There was no way we could give her up, so we kept her.  She spent her first night sleeping on my pillow and to this day that still remains one of her favorite places to snooze. Jezebel loves mornings and can't wait for Ted and I to wake up so we can play with her. One of her favorite games is when Ted and I put our hands under the blanket and she tries to "attack" them. For a "senior citizen" she sure does run circles around the youngsters!

Howard was a wild kitten when he first came around in the summer of 1991. He was a little ball of fur that was impossible to get next to because he was so scared. After weeks of patience and hard work I finally managed to handle him. Shortly after, I discovered that he had a broken leg. I took him to the vet to get the leg fixed with the intention of finding him a home. He ended up being at the vet's for over a week because he had a temperature and could not have the operation that he needed until his fever broke. I went to see him every day for that week and with each day I could feel myself getting more and more attached to him. By the time he came home from the hospital, I decided that I couldn't give him up. To this day he is still a very scared and nervous cat. If the wind blows too hard, Howard will run under the bed. I am the only one who has ever been able to handle him. I guess I consider myself lucky to be the one he chose to trust. He is the perfect house cat.
