Foo-Foo a.k.a. "Fooey-Fooey", "the Fooster"," the Foomeister", "Fu-Man-Chu"," Foo"![]() Baby Foo-Foo was born on April 13, 2002. I was pet sitting for his family while they were vacationing in California. They have three cats that I needed to care for. One of the cats, Oreo, was pregnant and I was told that she may give birth while I was taking care of them. Well, on my second day of the job, I entered the house and did not see Oreo. This was strange because Oreo is the kind of cat who greets you at the door. So, I knew something was up. I suspected that she had given birth and set out to locate her. I finally found her and her newly born kittens in one of the closets. It was such an amazing experience, to be there with Oreo and her babies. After visiting them twice a day for a week, I just knew that my boyfriend, Ted, and I had to have one of the kittens when they were old enough. We did not have a preference at the time - they were all so cute. Well, we did want a boy, so that narrowed it down. As the kittens got older and the boys and girls were identified, we decided to take the "black and white" one. I fell in love with him instantly. We could not decide on a name. Ted and I tossed around names but nothing really stuck. Then one day, I just started to call him "Baby Foo-Foo" and it just seemed to fit. He also has many nick names ... The Fooster, The Foomeister, my little Fu-Man-Chu, Fooey-Fooey or just plain Foo. He is such a lovable little guy. There is an extra special bond between him and me. I am convinced that because I was the first human to touch them, he remembered my scent and thinks of me as his "mom". Every single time I come home, he walks over to greet me and cries to be picked up. As I am bending down to pick him up, he lifts up his little arms to meet me half way. I then hold him up to my chest and he instantly starts to purr. Before long he is kneading my neck as he sucks the fur on his arm. Very strange, but very sweet. Like I said, we go through this "ritual" every single time I come home. I love it! Fooey will be an indoor cat. This is for very selfish reasons. I just do not know what I would do if anything were to happen to him. So, I do not ever want to find out and have decided to keep him safe as my little prisoner. I did not have a choice with any of my other wonderful cats because they were all strays who were already old kittens or young cats when they found me. By then, they already had a taste of the outdoors and it would have been impossible to keep them indoors. I am completely obsessed with my little Fooey. Since the day we brought him home, everything is about the Fooster. I think I drive my family and friends nuts....I ALWAYS talk about him! See a pictoral collage of a day on Foo's Life.
Fluff a.k.a. "Fluff-a-nutter" and Jack a.k.a."Jackson"
These two beautiful cats live with my mom and step dad, Christy and Dave. Jack and Fluff are completely spoiled rotten. They run the household and are nice enough to let my mom and step dad live there. Jack and Fluff both are constantly wanting to go outside and then back inside a few minutes later. This continues throughout the evening and my step dad accommodates Jack and Fluff's every demand by getting in and out of bed all hours of the night. I don't think he seems to mind too much because Jack and Fluff repay him with lots of love.
